We built the GB Translations website in three languages, with a tool that reads the uploaded files, builds the quote and bills the customer.
GB Translations provides certified translation and sworn translation, with offices in Orlando and Miami. Someone who needs a translated certificate for an immigration case wants a fast quote and fast service.
Before, the GB site was a Square Weebly site with three content pages, in English only. The home page HTML had little formatting. The server took 718 ms to start responding.
The quote request button turned into an email. At GB, the team had to count the pages, check the price list, reply to the customer and charge for the work.
We delivered the site in English, Portuguese and Spanish, served on Cloudflare's edge. The customer uploads the files, confirms the languages and gets the quote instantly. Once payment is approved, the order goes into the GB team's queue.
In a custom admin panel, protected by a password and a second factor, GB manages copy, prices and forms quickly and on its own.
The content was built from scratch too. Today there are 98 pages in each language: 7 services, 12 document types, 21 cities served and 31 articles.
The customer uploads up to 500 files at once. Pages are counted from the structure of each file: PDF, DOCX, PPTX, ODT, TIFF, photo and text.
The file does not leave the browser while the quote is built. When the order is placed, the files go to private storage.
The tool knows 52 languages through function words and spelling, such as articles, prepositions and accents.
When two languages tie, such as Indonesian and Malay, the screen asks the customer instead of choosing.
The quote takes the language of the files into account and comes out instantly.
When a page has no text, images of it are sent to Llama, an AI model running on GB's Cloudflare account. The AI returns only the detected language. Neither the image nor the answer is stored.
As a safeguard, a daily AI cost cap turns the reading off and sends an alert if it is reached.
The AI does not count pages and never sets the price.
The screen calculates, and the server recalculates everything from scratch. It reads the structure of each file again and always checks the number that came from the browser.
Payment goes through Stripe, with card and wallets. On confirmation, the GB team receives the order with the details for the translation, and the customer receives the payment receipt.
A background service continuously checks for payments that may have run into problems.
Simple management of the site copy in each of the 3 languages. Prices and add-ons, coupons, photos and forms, all edited by GB itself.
Different access profiles, with every action traceable.
No one stands between the customer's file and the payment anymore. The GB team receives the paid order, with the documents, ready to start.
